Check. Black.

Silence.
except for the dull grating sounds,
black pressed on paper.
rip across,
spread the devastation;
expose the light.
Everyone can see the difference.
A world all of its own.

my ginger jar and taco chili pepper are done being molded. Now i just have to glaze them, and bring in a camera for my window project. I'm going to take pictures of all the windows i see in a day and make a collage of them in the shape of a cross-paned window. I'm also doing a painting of my cat; but i need a colored picture of her first. Maybe for my last project i'll do an acryllic-wood thing. I just have to figure out what. I have a wooded chest-type thing; but i don't want to use it for a project. My art teacher has a tendency to change your projects a lot, and i want the box to be completely mine. But if it turns out really good perhaps i can submit it in one of my art shows. (I have one on April 1st and another in May. But the April one is a bit away. I only really care about the May one.)

After i clean my room i have to start sketching out my mural. I want it to cover one of my doors. We'll see how much painit i'll need.

Balance?

Hmmm...a virus is spreading around the people i know. How many languages can you say gross in? Me; one. I can, however, say blood in three or four. Comforted much?

Lets see....i haven't been in the mood to do poetry. i'm too...'this is my life' to be all non-descript. if thats the right word. I don't even know anymore. fat lot of good the enlgish language is doing me right now.

Well, i finally admitted to myself and a few other people things i've been trying to deny for awhile. Apparently, i cannot follow my own rules. Wonderful.

so, what did i learn today; people are suprising and Cu+AgNo3-->Cu(No3)2+Ag is balanced to equate to Cu+2AgNo3-->Cu(No3)2+2Ag.

can we say educational?

neither can i.

I'll Take The Snowball, thanks.

Living in the 'burbs means neighbors. Its unavoidable. But, depending on where you live its not so bad.

My aunt lived in an apartment in a shady area. I can't tell you how many times i would sit in her backyard and watch one of her neighbor's 9 kids throw their trash out of their windows. Once, one of the middle-aged boys emptied a cup of fruit punch from their second story window not three feet from me, and then proceeded to toss the cup down as well. Their yard was a smelly advertisement for Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Dixie plateware.(Don't even get me started on the USED diapers.)

But I guess I got lucky. I like my neighbors.

The ones on my left are nice; they just had a baby and they wave hello everyday. The neighbors to my left are awesome. I am reminded of this tonight as I sit on my laptop in the kitchen. A window facing the right side house is directly in front of me, and due to a kitchen-remodling project we have no blinds. I managed to forget that anyone coming out of their household could see me, until a large thus sounded against the window. The neighbor that's my age had thrown a snowball to get my attention and wave hello.

Maybe you think this is strange. I don't, I think people should always go out of their way to say hello to people; we all have to live on this earth...why not enjoy each other's company in the process?

P.S. www.waiterrant.net is one of the greatest blogs i have ever read, and my respect for anyone in the food service industry has increased dramatically over the last two days. (you get a similar effect with sparkwood & 21, but she's not a waitress anymore, so you don't get a ton of stories now.)

totally useless

I have nothing of terrible consequence to report. Once again, Valentine's day...not a good day for the happy/poetry/posting. Um...for the record, i would not take AP French 4 if i was PAID A MILLION DOLLARS. Okay, maybe i would...but at that point, i'd buy the program and beat people to death with it.

Can you sense my frustration?

Hmm...something constructive to post. Lets see....oh! i took some charcoal from the art room; destroyed 1 clay mold, got air pockets in another, and left the room covered in chalky clay dust. People had to beat me like i was a rug. Although i suspect they enjoyed it.

So, its almost like a normal post isn't it?

Let me fix it:

ah, no...poetry juices aren't flowing. But here's a list of really cool songs!

-Burn; Alkaline Trio
-Mixed tape; Jack's Mannequin
-Life Is Wonderful-Jason Mraz
-Voodoo-Godsmack.

Beautiful

It's Valentine's Day....my second to least favorite holiday. (Easter's my least favorite.) But, instead of filling this post with negatively at the Hallmark-inspired holiday, i will post a link for a post on a blog i just found. Its not the most positive post at first, but by the end, it's beautiful.

It's enough to remind you that not everyone is horrible.

Okay, here are some views from my bedroom window. Besides the snow, isn't it wonderful?
This is a picture I Took myself. See how the trees are in the background? Amazing. I took the picture yesterday. Interesting enough, i didn't notice that our tree is trying to attack our neighbors house until i woke up this morning.

Overestimated.

Breathe,
the air of night is so different.
sweeter,
so full of the energy i crave.
Let the body split,
all directions at once.
To take in the softness.
velvet, velvet night.
Pick the stars out of the sky.
They all have their stories.
I hang each star from a hook,
they swing from my ears and my nose and my eyes.
Some even fall on my shoulders.
I do not twinkle and shine like they think i do,
I just listen to the stars.
